North Carolina Album

These pictures were taken while in Manteo and the surrounding area. While in Manteo we visited the site of Wright brothers first flights.  This was a very interesting place whether interested in aviation or not.  Next year is the 100th anniversary of the flight and it promises to be a large event in NC.

We were docked right near the Elizabeth II a replica ship of the one used by the lost colony of Roanoke Island.  Check out your history books on that one! (hint Sir Walter Rawliegh) The pictures of the kids in armor and period clothes below were taken at the museum next to the ship.

There are also some pictures of our visit to Elizabeth city NC.  The city of hospitality!  We enjoyed our visit there check the log out for more on that.

The places were the Wright brothers landed Emily in 1500's armor. Pete in shining armor. Will in 1500's armor.
